DMAE
DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is a small organic compound closely related to choline. It is used in supplements and, under the name deanol, in skin creams.

What adverse effects were reported?
Six of 13 DMAE-treated patients left the trial within five weeks because of side effects, including drowsiness, increased confusion and mildly raised blood pressure. 1
