Eurycomanone characterized EFSA’s assessed extract. Standardization describes composition; it does not resolve the DNA-damage concern. 1

Does online availability mean EU approval?

No. In 2024, the Dutch NVWA warned against tongkat ali products and reported enforcement against their sale as prohibited novel foods in the EU. The German Verbraucherzentrale likewise lists tongkat ali among plant ingredients not permitted because safety evidence is lacking. 2 3
