Immunoglobulin G

Immunoglobulin G (IgG) is the most common type of antibody in the blood. Supplements usually take it from bovine colostrum or serum.

What do the small studies tell us about safety?

Nausea caused withdrawals in both SBI and placebo groups in the adult pilot. A small, short trial cannot resolve uncommon or long-term risks. 1

The pediatric study excluded pregnancy and known beef or product-component allergy. No serious adverse events occurred among its participants; that does not establish safety in excluded groups. 2

For information, not individual medical advice. Ingredient studies do not establish the effectiveness of these products.
