Enzyme
Peptidase
Peptidase is the group name for enzymes that split proteins and peptides into smaller pieces and amino acids. They are common in digestive enzyme blends.
Is this the same as prescribed pancreatic enzymes?
Pancreatic enzyme replacement combines enzymes for fats, carbohydrates and proteins to treat diagnosed insufficiency. An unspecified peptidase supplement cannot be assumed to replace that treatment. 1
