Botanical
Bacopa Monnieri
Bacopa monnieri is a creeping wetland herb from Ayurvedic medicine, also called brahmi. Supplements use extracts of its leaves.
Also listed as Brahmi, Aindri, Lysimachia Monnieri L. Cent., Graticola Monnieri L.
The extract and the time frame matter
The six-trial review used three extracts at 300–450 mg daily for 12 weeks. Those data do not establish an immediate effect from a single dose or equivalence with the same weight of raw herb. 1
