Glucomannan is a soluble dietary fiber from the root of the konjac plant (Amorphophallus konjac).
The water warning matters
Health Canada’s monograph covers capsules and powders. It specifies at least 250 mL of liquid with each dose and a gap of a few hours from medicines or other health products. Too little liquid can cause choking or obstruction. 1
