Naringenin is a plant flavanone found in foods including citrus fruit and tomatoes.
Flavoring safety has a defined scope
EFSA found no safety concern at the evaluated flavoring exposures. It considered drug-interaction potential through metabolic enzymes but judged concern unlikely at those exposures. That conclusion is not a blanket safety assessment of high-dose supplements. 1
