Peptide
TB-500
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide derived from thymosin beta-4, a small protein found in most human cells.
What does FDA say about safety?
FDA reports no identified human exposure data for drug products containing the thymosin beta-4 fragment. It flags possible immune reactions associated with aggregation and peptide impurities. Missing human data leave the magnitude of harm unknown; they do not establish safety. 1
Is TB-500 permitted in tested sport?
The 2026 WADA list prohibits thymosin beta-4 and its derivatives, including TB-500, at all times under S2.3. This covers both competition and training periods. 2
