Copper

Copper is an essential trace mineral found in shellfish, nuts, seeds and organ meats. The body uses it in enzymes for iron metabolism and connective tissue.

Is one form clearly better?

Supplements contain forms such as copper sulfate, oxide and gluconate. NIH reports no studies comparing the bioavailability of the available supplement forms. A form’s name alone is therefore a poor basis for claims of superior absorption. 1
