Fatty acid
Linoleic Acid
Linoleic acid is an essential omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid. The body cannot make it, and it comes mainly from vegetable oils, nuts and seeds.
Why do sunflower oils differ?
High-oleic sunflower varieties are bred for more oleic acid and contain less linoleic acid. A high-oleic oil is therefore not nutritionally identical to conventional sunflower oil. 1
