Sulforaphane

Sulforaphane is a sulfur compound that forms from glucoraphanin when cruciferous vegetables, especially broccoli sprouts, are chopped or chewed.

Also listed as Broccoli extract

Where does it come from?

Cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, supply the precursor glucoraphanin. Conversion to sulforaphane depends on an enzyme called myrosinase, including related activity from gut bacteria. 1
