Sulforaphane

Sulforaphane is a sulfur compound that forms from glucoraphanin when cruciferous vegetables, especially broccoli sprouts, are chopped or chewed.

Also listed as Broccoli extract

Is glucoraphanin the same dose as sulforaphane?

No. In a 16-person crossover trial, adding myrosinase-containing mustard powder roughly doubled sulforaphane availability from a broccoli seed extract. The trial measured conversion and urinary metabolites, not a health benefit. 1
