Zeaxanthin

Zeaxanthin is a yellow-orange plant pigment in the carotenoid family, occurring alongside lutein in foods such as corn and egg yolk.

Which foods contain it?

The German consumer advice service lists corn, red peppers, egg yolk and dark leafy vegetables as sources. Its examples per 100 g are approximately 0.84 mg in corn and 0.1 mg in kale; these are zeaxanthin values, not supplement doses. 1
