Gamma Oryzanol

Gamma oryzanol is a mixture of plant compounds called sterol ferulates, obtained from rice bran oil.

Also listed as γ-Oryzanol

Rice-derived compounds and a fortified oil are different

The safety dossier describes a refined rice-derived extract. The diabetes trial added gamma-oryzanol to canola oil; it did not test simply eating more rice. A result from that intervention cannot be assigned to an ordinary serving of rice. 1 2
