What improved in a small trial?
A placebo-controlled trial enrolled 50 adults with knee osteoarthritis. MSM at 3 g twice daily for 12 weeks improved pain and physical-function scores, but stiffness and the overall symptom score did not show notable improvement. The pilot study could not establish long-term benefit or safety. 1
