Salidroside
Salidroside is a plant compound, a glycoside, found in Rhodiola species and regarded as one of the main active constituents of Rhodiola rosea.
An early exercise finding
An industry-linked exploratory trial tested 60 mg daily for 16 days in 50 active young adults. Oxygen uptake during hard intervals favored salidroside; peak oxygen uptake and muscular endurance did not. 1
Why researchers study the brain
A 2026 review describes reduced inflammatory signaling and protection of nerve cells in animal and cell models, including Alzheimer’s-related models. Whether sufficient salidroside reaches the human brain and engages these targets remains unresolved. This is a research rationale, not established memory treatment. 2
