Does it protect cognition?
A 12-month trial randomized 99 older adults with subjective cognitive decline or mild cognitive impairment to 2 g matcha daily or placebo. The main cognitive and daily-function outcomes did not improve. A secondary emotion-perception measure favored matcha; the sleep result was not statistically conclusive. 1
